Established in 2011 by PCHS, the Langar on Wheels (LOW) program supports isolated and frail seniors who are unable to prepare their own meals. ‘Langar’ is a Punjabi word, English translation for ‘Langar’ is a meal. The LOW program provides culturally appropriate, hot, fresh, and nutritious meals, delivers them six times a week to the doorsteps of 44 clients. This service not only ensures that clients receive familiar and balanced meals, but also fosters a sense of community and connection.
