Settlement Services For Newcomers to Canada at PCHS
To help newcomers integrate into Canadian society, settlement services are available for Newcomers / Permanent Residents (PR), Citizens, Live-in Caregivers and Conventional Refugee Claimants to Canada (proof required).
Services are provided in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
We provide information and referrals in the following: English language class referrals
Information on training and skills development
Orientation to your neighbourhood
Assistance in filing forms for PR card, citizenship, pensions, passport, health card, child tax benefit, family sponsorship visitor visa etc
Canadian laws/norms
Supportive Counselling
Translation/Interpretation services
Referrals regarding government services including social assistance and Ontario disability support programs
Health Childcare and Senior benefits
Orientation, information sessions and attestation of documents
