Newcomer Connections Program is a matching program designed to ease the settlement of newcomers to Canada. Trained and established volunteers in this program are matched with newcomer families and individuals (with common interests and characteristics) to enable them to successfully settle in their communities. The matching process aims to support newcomers with a better understanding of daily to day activities associated with settlement in Canada, such as public transit system, accessing grocery stores, banking, knowing about the education system, job search, Canadian values & culture. On the other hand, newcomers and immigrants who are well established in Canada have the opportunities to give back to the community through volunteering in this program, and there is much more to know!
