In celebration of Black History Month, the Youth team is putting together Instagram content and virtual fun events for newcomer children and youth to participate and have a chance to enter our prize winning contest!
We will be hosting 3 virtual events during the month of February from the 23rd to the 25th from 4pm to 5:30pm; more details below.
1st Event Celebrating Black Art: Virtual Paint Night (Feb 23rd 4pm to 5:30pm)
2nd Event Celebrating Black Artists: Poetry Reading (Feb 24th 4pm – 5:30pm)
3rd Event Celebrating Black Music & Dance: Caribbean Dance Class (Feb 25th 4pm – 5:30pm)

By celebrating and participating with us during the Black History Month, you will have a chance to enter our art competition!
This contest will run the entire month of February and the winner will be announced via Zoom on February 26th from 4 TO 5:30PM to celebrate and appreciate the art of all participants! Register and stay tuned on our social media to find out more details later!
For registrations you must reside in the Peel Region area and identify as a newcomer child or youth between the age range of 8 to 25 years.
